Ce vendredi, 07 ao\u00fbt, le canton<\/a> d\u2019Aflao-Sagbado a renou\u00e9 avec son histoire. Pr\u00e8s d\u2019une d\u00e9cennie apr\u00e8s la disparition de Togbui Semekonawo III en 2017, Togbui Attissogbui Dzogbenyi SEMEKONAWO IV <\/a>a \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement reconnu et install\u00e9 chef de canton, sur le terrain de l\u2019EPP Sagbado, en pr\u00e9sence d\u2019une foule venue nombreuse assister \u00e0 ce moment in\u00e9dit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie, plac\u00e9e sous le signe du renouveau, a pris un tour solennel avec la remise du d\u00e9cret pr\u00e9sidentiel de reconnaissance. C\u2019est le Gouverneur de la R\u00e9gion Maritime, Ta\u00efrou Bagbiegue, repr\u00e9sentant personnel du Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil, S.E.M. Faure Essozimna Gnassingb\u00e9, qui a symboliquement pass\u00e9 ce document au nouveau chef, scellant ainsi la fin d\u2019une vacance de pr\u00e8s de dix ans sur le tr\u00f4ne cantonal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un vide enfin combl\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ressenti par les populations, le vide cr\u00e9\u00e9 par la vacance du tr\u00f4ne, avait \u00e9t\u00e9 palli\u00e9 tant bien que mal par une r\u00e9gence assur\u00e9e par Togbui Dogbe Alley. Dans son discours, celui-ci n\u2019a pas cach\u00e9 son soulagement : \u00ab Nous avons tenu, avec l\u2019aide de tous, \u00e0 pr\u00e9server nos traditions et la paix durant cette travers\u00e9e. Une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie sous le signe de l\u2019unit\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement a rassembl\u00e9 les plus hautes autorit\u00e9s administratives et coutumi\u00e8res de la r\u00e9gion. Les pr\u00e9fets du Golfe, Kossivi Agbodan, et d\u2019Ago\u00e8-Nyiv\u00e9, Kossi W\u00e9diabalo Tinaka, \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sents, tout comme la s\u00e9natrice et maire de la commune du Golfe 7, Mme Dangbuie Afi Xolali Pascaline. \u00c9lus locaux, cadres, dignitaires et ressortissants d\u2019Aflao-Sagbado ont \u00e9galement fait le d\u00e9placement, marquant l\u2019importance de ce jour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Togbui Dzidzoli Detu X, pr\u00e9sident r\u00e9gional de la Chefferie traditionnelle des R\u00e9gions Maritime et Grand Lom\u00e9, a f\u00e9licit\u00e9 le nouveau chef et appel\u00e9 \u00e0 la responsabilit\u00e9 : \u00ab Togbui Semekonawo IV doit incarner l\u2019autorit\u00e9 bienveillante et rassembleuse. Il compte sur vous, habitants, pour l\u2019aider \u00e0 construire un avenir pacifique et prosp\u00e8re \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les devoirs d\u2019un chef pour un canton en marche<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avant de remettre le d\u00e9cret, le Gouverneur Ta\u00efrou Bagbiegue a tenu \u00e0 rappeler les obligations l\u00e9gales et morales qui incombent d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 Togbui Attissogbui Dzogbenyi SEMEKONAWO IV. \u00ab L\u2019autorit\u00e9 traditionnelle n\u2019est pas un privil\u00e8ge, mais un service. Elle exige int\u00e9grit\u00e9, impartialit\u00e9 et un dialogue permanent avec tous les fils et filles du canton. \u00bb Il a \u00e9galement invit\u00e9 la population \u00e0 soutenir leur chef et \u00e0 collaborer avec lui pour consolider la paix et stimuler le d\u00e9veloppement local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sign\u00e9 le 26 mai dernier par le Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil, le d\u00e9cret vient donc officialiser une reconnaissance qui \u00e9tait attendue par toute une communaut\u00e9. Avec cette investiture, le canton d\u2019Aflao-Sagbado ne referme pas seulement un chapitre douloureux : il en ouvre un nouveau, plac\u00e9 sous le signe de l\u2019esp\u00e9rance et du renouveau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u00e9sormais aur\u00e9ol\u00e9 de la confiance des siens et de l\u2019\u00c9tat, Togbui Attissogbui Dzogbenyi SEMEKONAWO IV sait que sa mission sera de maintenir l\u2019unit\u00e9 et de porter haut les valeurs coutumi\u00e8res, tout en accompagnant les mutations de son canton.
